Her training masterfully dissected the multifaceted nature of pandemic-related trauma, emphasizing its effects on both personal and professional spheres. Like many frontline workers, pharmacy staff have been thrust into a combat-like scenario, battling the virus and their work environments’ relentless demands and stressors. Dr. Sairany’s ability to articulate these challenges resonated with the audience, as she painted a vivid picture of the exhaustion and burnout many are grappling with.
One of the most compelling aspects of Dr. Sairany’s training was her openness about vulnerability. In a profession often characterized by stoicism, she encouraged us to confront and acknowledge the emotional impact of the pandemic on our lives. By sharing her own experiences and vulnerabilities, she created a safe space for the audience to reflect on their struggles, fostering a sense of shared humanity in the face of adversity.

Dr. Sairany brought energy and passion I have not seen in pharmacy in quite some time. She spoke knowledgeably about trauma and how it is pervasive in our profession, it was eye opening and transformational. She not only brings personal experience but also extensive research on the topic of trauma and health outcomes to her presentations. Her style is captivating and engaging, such that as a participant you are drawn into the topic and how it has affected you.
